Ask what the quote includes: pickup, freight, customs clearance, delivery to the address, and any fees or taxes paid separately. The per-kilo rate alone is not enough to set the final cost; the team reviews the shipment details and confirms the quote before arranging the shipment. For the delivery time, ask from which stage it is counted and whether it is an estimate.
BASMA Global is a shipping company based in Istanbul that moves shipments from Türkiye to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain. We serve two separate tracks: travellers whose baggage is over the allowance, and traders moving commercial quantities from Turkish suppliers.
The traveller service is for your personal items: purchases from Türkiye that do not fit in your bag. We collect them from your address and deliver them to your address. The trader service is for commercial quantities from a Turkish supplier. We collect from the supplier's warehouse, review the entry requirements with you and help you arrange the right procedures before shipping. The two services are separate in procedures and documents — tell us which one is yours in your first message.
Pickup from your address is possible depending on the case: Istanbul is a big city, so send us your location, the type of shipment and its weight and we confirm. Distant areas have an extra pickup fee that we tell you before you confirm. If you are a trader, we arrange pickup from your supplier the same way.
We are based in Istanbul, where most pickups take place. If your address is in another city, send us the location and we explain what is needed and the right arrangement.
Estimated delivery time for personal shipments: usually 2–5 days from the actual flight departure to your address (to Saudi Arabia usually 2–4 days); it can be longer depending on destination procedures. Customs-cleared commercial cargo to Saudi Arabia: usually 4–10 days from receipt of the goods at our warehouse, and large quantities may ship in batches on an agreed schedule.
Some shipments are light but take up a lot of space — cushions, furnishings and toys, for example. In air freight a shipment has two weights: the actual weight on the scale, and the volumetric weight derived from the dimensions (length × width × height divided by a standard factor). The greater of the two is used. That is why we ask for approximate dimensions as well as weight.
With tight, compact packing: fold clothes and compress furnishings, remove large empty boxes, and put items together in one box instead of several half-full ones. We review this with you before pickup.
BASMA Global offers a packing service. Tell us the product type, quantity and current packing when you ask for a quote, so the team can set the right packing and its cost before shipping. If the shipment is already packed, we check the packing at pickup and explain any reinforcement or special packing needed, and its cost, before doing it.
Tell us about them from the start and describe them precisely, so we prepare suitable packing and separate them from the rest of the shipment. Do not rely on the shop's packing alone.
We accept small parcels from 0.5 kg, starting at $12.5, and the published price table goes up to 150 kg. Above 150 kg our team prices each shipment.
Each Gulf country publishes, through its customs authority, lists of prohibited and restricted goods, and these lists change. So we do not give a final list here and we do not promise to accept an item before checking it. Our rule: send the product type and destination, and we review the requirements before shipping, not after.
To Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Kuwait we ship cosmetics customs cleared to the door; we handle the clearance procedures ourselves and our team prices each shipment. Perfumes are a regulated category that we review before shipping and arrange the right procedure for.

We do not accept batteries of any kind, or devices that contain a battery, including used phones. For other electronic devices, tell us the type and we explain what is needed.

Yes. To Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Kuwait we handle customs clearance and its paperwork for you: you hand over the goods in Türkiye and receive them cleared at the door — including cosmetics, supplements and honey. For Qatar and Bahrain we review the product type and quantity before shipping and arrange the right procedure. For personal shipments, destination duties and taxes are paid by the recipient. The procedures take place before the official authority in the destination country under its regulations, and we never bypass any official procedure.
Prohibited goods may not be brought in at all. Restricted goods may be brought in subject to prior approval or a permit from a competent authority. This division is used in GCC regulations, and its details are published on each country's customs authority website.
For travellers: a description of the contents, pickup details in Türkiye and the recipient's details at the destination. For traders: a description of the goods and quantity, supplier and warehouse details, importer details at the destination, and the invoices available from the supplier. If the shipment needs an additional document, we tell you after reviewing the product type and destination.
Duties and exemptions are set by the customs authority of the destination country according to the type of goods, their value and their nature (personal or commercial). We point you to the authority and the official reference, and we do not issue an estimate on its behalf.
We tell you when we collect from your address and when the shipment flies, and keep you informed of its status until delivery at the address you gave us.

Yes — it is one of the things our customers ask about most. For personal use they are priced from the published price table by weight. For trade (a shop, an online store or quantities from Istanbul's wholesale markets) we ship them customs cleared to the door to Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Kuwait, with a quote for each shipment by product type and quantity. Send us the product type, the number of pieces or cartons and the approximate weight.
Our announced destinations are Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain. We do not currently announce regular shipping to Jordan, Oman, Iraq or Egypt. If your destination is outside these countries, contact our team and we tell you clearly what is available.
